Once you are registered with us we will offer you placements with families in your area as they arise. Sometimes we will be able to give you several months notice, and other times we will ring you to offer you a placement for the following day.

If you accept a placement you will be contracted for a fixed number of hours which are fixed by the family at the point of booking. If they cancel, you will still be paid for your contracted hours. You are welcome to extend your placement on an ad hoc basis should your family request it, but are not obliged to do so. We round all hours up to the nearest half an hour.

We don't guarantee you a minimum number of hours, nor do we expect you to accept every placement we offer you.

Here are some examples of the types of placements you may be offered:

- looking after an 8 month old girl in her hotel room from 1000-1230 every morning for 6 days
- baby sitting for three children on a Wednesday evening from 1900 to 2300
- collecting two 5 year old boys from ski school at 1400 every day and enteraining them until they are collected at 1700
- looking after three children in their chalet from 0930 until 1700 for 6 days
