Sorry for all the jargon, but you need to be aware that if you decide to use our service you will be agreeing to the following:

You understand that Alpine Child Care acts as an introductory agent only and our role is simply to match you with a child care provider. The provider is not employed either directly or indirectly by Alpine Child Care.

You will be solely responsible for the engagement of any childcare provider and verification and handling of their identity and other information delivered to you. We have no control over the accuracy of any of the information provided to us by a child care provider. In addition we will make no effort to verify their identity or any of their qualifications or experience.

Before you commit to a placement we strongly advice you to follow up references. Any problem must be communicated to us before you start to employ the nanny and / or commit to the placement by paying a deposit.

You will use your best efforts to guard the privacy of anyone whose information we pass you. We supply the information for your personal use and it must not be directly or indirectly used for any commercial purpose or further distribution to a wider audience.

You understand when you contact us, you will be asked to provide us with certain information including that of personal nature. For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998, you consent to the processing of your all or any personal data (in manual, electronic or any other form) relevant to the service, by us and/or any agent or third party nominated by us and bound by a duty of confidentiality. Processing includes but is not limited to obtaining, recording, using and holding data and includes the transfer of data to any country either inside or outside the EEA.

A deposit of 5 Euros per hour a nanny works is required at the point where you commit to employing a particular child care provider. This is payable to Alpine Child Care. This fee is non refundable under any circumstances and forms our administrative fee. Full payment to your nanny of 10 Euros per hour they have agreed to work will be due at the end of the agreed hours.

You agree that once you have decided to accept a nanny and confirm a placement by paying the 5 an hour deposit / administrative fee to Alpine Child Care, we will forward you their contact details and pass them yours, and that point our involvement in the placement ends.

We provide sample contracts that the can nanny will bring with them for both of you to sign. We are not part of this contract, which is between you and your child care provider. You shall indemnify and keep indemnified us against all cost claims or liabilities incurred by us and arising out of any engagement of the Childcare Provider and/or as a result of any breach of the contract by you or the nanny. We shall not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss or damage or any loss or damage to profit, revenue, savings, use, contract, goodwill or opportunity due to the engagement of the Childcare Provider by you.

If for any reason your nanny is unable to fulfil the placement, no liability whatsoever is held by Alpine Child Care. Your deposit is non-refundable and no compensation will be payable. If this should be the case you are welcome to contact us and we will make our best efforts to find you a replacement, but this is not an obligation on our part.

Like we said - quite heavy on the jargon, and all very geared towards the worst case scenario, but these terms and conditions are there to protect you, as well as the nannies we match.
